I have a lite weight 3p summer tent an 11# 3P 4 season tent but was looking at the 2P Midgard / Thor tent for a lighter weight 4 season option. The wife has some strength issues in her shoulder and arm from nerve damage when she was young so I carry the whole thing when we take the big tent. Marmot says the midgard is same materials as the Thor but marketed exclusively thru sierra trading post. 349 bucks sure beats 500+ for anything comparable and would save me a lot of weight and space in my pack.
One of the stats on that tent you are considering
Packed weight: 8 lb. 6 oz
For winter use you might consider the Mountain Hardware Direkt-2 -- about 4 lbs.

Thank you for the reply
Been carrying around an 11 pound four season tent so down to eight and still have a roomy tent is a plus side. We arnt hardcore climbers we just love to camp in alpine areas through out the year regardless of wearther. The 25 square feet is pretty cozey on that mountain hardwear tent. The migard is 38. The wife is a luxery back packer. Room and she loves the windows on our bigger tent if weather cooperates for views.
