Last week I finally backpacked on Lost Creek Ridge. Thanks for the info provided by members here. There was a bit of snow left on the north side of the ridge but it was not a problem. We hiked in to a spot below Point 6343 (Zi-iob Peak). The summit was a short scramble away. Day 2 was spent hiking down the ridge to Camp Lake and views down from just above Lake Byrne. Day 3 we hiked out.
My full report includes one page with photos for each day. A total of 129 photos in all. The text and photos tell the tale of conditions on the route.
Link to the report is at: Lost Creek Ridge Report & Photos

Sorry we missed you! Peak Junkie was probably doing a refreshing snow glissade into Sunup Lake while you passed below us on the trail.
What a perfect day! I so wished, I had brought overnight gear.

This was a great backpacking trip (and the smoke didn't move into the area until after we were there).

Nice trip report! We were the last couple you saw as we were heading towards Lake Byrne. I didn't realize we met a hiking celebrity!
Like everyone says, this route is harder than the distance and elevation gain suggest. It is a shame that parts of this trail are eroded and overgrown. This would be a great area for a WTA backcountry response team. I've never joined one, but would do so for the opportunity to camp along the ridge and help get the trail into better shape.
Sunup Lake looks pretty! We thought about heading up there on our way out, but the heat and bugs put us off. Next time.

Nice meeting you too. We did not see many folks at the east end of the ridge. I'd also like to see a crew spend some time out there. Just brushing would help. It was an excellent trip.

I'll check with WTA if the Lost Creek Ridge trail could be an option for a work party.
I know, I'd sign up.

First you'll have to remind them that Lost Creek Ridge exists. Try searching for it in their Hiking Guide...

I guess, the "Lost Creek Ridge trail" is not an actual destination. Plenty of info for Round Lake or Breccia Peak on WTA's Trip Reports.
