How are the roads to Salmon La Sac and Pete Lake and where approximately are the snow levels?

Went up to Cle Elum lake yesterday and a good 6-8inches of slush on the road. Wouldn’t attempt it in anything but AWD. Didn’t get within a mile of salmon la sac though.

Looked like there was enough snow to ski French Cabin and Cooper roads, but still open to trucks. We skied the Salmon la Sac cg and road towards the trail heads, rut dodging on the latter.

I’m from MN and know how to drive in snow. Could I park at Salmon La Sac with a low clearance FWD van in your opinion?

There is a sno-park at the end of the Salmon La Sac road, a little short of bridge into the campground. The road and the sno-park are plowed. You'll need sno-park permit.
The road to Cooper lake isn't plowed, nor the Salmon La Sac road past the campground. These roads are groomed for snowmobiles.
The area directly east of the Salmon La Sac road between the sno-park and south to Nelson creek is a voluntary non-motorized area. It's not illegal for snowmobiles to ride there, but incursions are the exception.

Just keep an eye on the weather. You could probably get up and back now through tomorrow OK, but Wednesday we're supposed to start getting a new front in and by Thursday... you'd probably want 4wd. And it's supposed to turn to rain after that because that's what we do here in the Cascades, lol.

Of course they were calling for rain in Roslyn last week that pretty much all came in as super wet snow and then packed down on the side streets as ice.
It's all an excellent set up for the season however. It was like skiing on a styrofoam base yesterday with just a bit of more forgiving stuff on the surface so we didn't have to worry about hitting rocks or dirt except for under trees, which was easily avoidable on the camp ground roads. Once this next shot of wet gloop gets packed down and set up we should be in business.

Thanks. I always watch the weather very closely. I was actually planning to hike/snowshoe Pollalie Ridge to get some views on Saturday, but I'm questioning whether (pun not intended) I'm going to do that. I appreciate everyone who has responded.
