I should have gotten a picture, but it appears there’s a barbwire fence with orange tape on it at the road, but the yellow gate is open a ways up. Is the road considered open or closed? Wasn’t sure if you’re expected to open the barbwire fence yourself, maybe it’s just to keep livestock in?

That's the deal. Always close the barbed wire fence.

The area from the main road to the yellow gate is private land, the road being a grandfathered easement. Sometimes the wire gate gets all twisted up and makes it hard to close it, so be careful when you lay it down.
