These are "foot in the door" positions, which give experience and also give folks permanent status to qualify for better jobs. Or, if you like working at a ski hill or taking the winter off, you can do that.
Other forests/regions are also advertising. The Wenatchee/Okanogan also ran an announcement on facebook.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities
