I have never once flashed my passport and gotten thru. I mean flying USED to be sometimes fun before 9/11. It's been a long time since it was easy. I've been photographed, fingerprinted and had retina scan done leaving every country the past few years. And when there's 3 layers of "security" that are all federal level no matter the country, plus a 4th one of people in black suits randomly interviewing people in the airport...you just do it to get out of the country. So another layer? Meh, price of travel if you will. It's better than being interviewed if I am carrying seeds. You want weird, now there is that one....and I have been asked that one a couple times. It wouldn't be weird....but I work in ag.
