Several years back I purchased a CD from the Ultimate Trail Store (ATC) entitled Appalachian Trail Mate (AT Mate). It was very useful for planning trips on the AT. Unfortunately, I sold that CD, then later purchased a digital download of the same software from barker-innovations.com. Recently my PC crashed, and I lost everything including my AT Mate. Now the website is no longer available for me to repurchase this program, so I'm turning to you. Does anyone have one of these CD's that you would sell, or loan me just long enough for me to install it on my PC? Please message me if you can help! PLEASE Thanks ...

Is this the company? Have you tried asking them for a copy? https://appalachiantrail.org/our-work/about-us/contact-us/

Maybe try asking here: https://old.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/ I checked Archive.org and it isn't there though.

You can hit the barker-innovations.com website through Wayback Machine which, at worst, might be a nostalgia trip for you. https://web.archive.org/web/20040613170419/http://www.barker-innovations.com/AT_Mate.htm There's also old contact information listed which might help you find someone who has a copy.

Where can I buy my copy? The Appalachian Trail Mate is available on-line via the Appalachian Trail Conference's website or telephone order line. Website: www.appalachiantrail.org (visit their Ultimate Trail Store) Phone: (888)-287-8673 (toll free - ask for catalog item number #142-0)

Thank you for your generous help. I have FarOut but it is not as helpful in planning trips to the AT as is the AT Mate. I thought I had backed up even this program, but the backup will not restore the program to my current PC. Again, thanks for your help and if you should come upon a copy of the CD, please let me know.

Checking the historical whois registration information, this shows up. Not sure if Pete is still alive or working but you might try contacting him at those emails.

Tom, Pete Barker is still alive. He got married about two years back and is living in Florida. I have been in touch with him, but he is not doing any work on this software. Thanks!!

He can't send you a copy? I would think he was the creator and owner of the website and software.
