Interesting. We buy eggs at Lynnwood Costco and they are in cardboard.

^ I'm not a "Costco shopper", so when I walked through there with my mother I kept thinking "Why do I even bother trying?" as I watched people load carts to overflowing with individually-packaged-in-plastic-items.
Why do grapes, kiwi fruit, and all manner of produce need to be packaged in clear plastic single-use containers?
And all those "salad mix" things.
And that was just ONE Costco. I think the guy told me there are like... 861 retail outlets (according to Wikipedia.)
It boggles the mind.
