Good luck trying to get people to "conserve water" around here.
Can't wait to see how that turns out.

Not a big surprise. Snowpack is somewhat better west slopes of the Cascades above about 5000-5500'.

I will likely be water rationing in late August...when my well runs dry. Thankfully the service center in Verlot has a very good well that hasn't gone dry that I know of. Or I can just go back to Idaho and my 300' well.

I'm looking forward to the cliff mass blog post about how it's a lie.

Me too First thing I thought of.
Given that the article says that summer is "just weeks away," they are kind of asking for it.

Hmmm... dry spring...less new growth...less to dry out...less fuel for a fire.

I don’t understand why we don’t prescribed fires like other states do. Or if we do, we don’t do much of it. Not looking forward to being choked out by smoke, lessening the beautiful views, and being sectioned to certain areas due to it.

Fair amount of prescribed going on in in Okanogan Wenatchee NF. We saw the haze of a prescribed burn going on in the Rock Creek drainage while hiking out in the WWA Monday.

The larger forest fires are in the Wilderness areas, if the feds would make more of a effort to contain them when they are small we wouldnt have near the issue. I understand they (FEDS) dont have the funding to do so but it would help to make the effort

We do, mostly east of the crest, but it's expensive and opposed by NIMBY types.
