Current Teanaway area conditions? I am planning on visiting Hawkins Mountain on Friday and I am looking for info on recent conditions for both Cle Elum River Road as well as Teanaway River Road (are the trailheads accessible?), as well as any info on either the Camp Creek (west) approach or DeRoux Creek (east) approach for Hawkins. Snowshoes needed? Any tricky creek crossings? Trail conditions? Cornices on ridge? Thanks!

Nothing? I am a little surprised no one has been up the Cle Elum or Teanaway roads lately.

Climbed Johnson today as a loop and didn't touch snow. We did find 8 ticks though.
South aspects are very melted

Did you see this report on WTA? They discuss going around the cornices and one of the photos shows them wearing snowshoes. I did this ten years ago in early June with a hiking buddy. We encountered snow but it was well-consolidated. We were easily able to navigate around the cornices that late in the season. The latter half of the hike is along the ridge with views all around. Great view from the summit too. We carried ice axes and may have used them occasionally. We were following one of Ragman and Rodman's trip reports. We parked at the end of a road and then did a bit of off-trail to gain the ridge. ~z
