Phil Gai helped to build Gai's Bakery into Seattle's largest baking company by catering to customers' exacting needs. When the Space Needle Restaurant in its early years wanted fresh French bread seven days a week, twice a day, Gai's delivered. When customers wanted French bread sliced instead of whole, Gai's became one of the first bakers to sell it that way.
Link I still remember by 2nd grade field trip to the bakery. up.gif up.gif

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Follow a 225-degree heading from my work, and in a quarter mile you'll hit a large commercial bakery. No, ya can't beat the smell of the fresh bread and fruit pies. But I'm getting a little too accustomed to smelling that aroma every, single, blasted, Friday! rant.gif
