Anyone been up to the East Lostine trail in the Eagle Cap Wilderness lately? We have hiked this trail in the past and are hoping to do it this weekend, but we are worried that it will be very dry.
Any links with info would also be greatly appreciated.
There should be plenty of water. There was still 2' of snow at the lakes and as of 1wk ago the lakes where still frozen. They might be thawing now though.
So There should be plenty of water to be had.
Just got back. PLENTY of water. There are a few snow patches over the trail in places. LOTS of mosquitoes!! Hide in the tent bad. Only tolerable when moving or a strong breeze blowing. We came out a day early because of them. I'll try and put together a trip report with photos soon.
