No guarantees on this one, but . . Due to changing circumstances, a friend who had a permit for the Enchantments July 19-22 will likely not be able to use all of the spaces on the permit. This permit is for the "Enchantment Zone", which allows you to go anywhere. There could be up to four spots available. So, if your travel plans take you to Leavenworth, and the steps of the ranger station, the "luck of the draw" might be a bit more favorable. I did think long and hard about how to word this information, and hope that it doesn't spur a land rush, as it were, but thought that there might be one or more good people reading this post who might be able to benefit.
