Are there any hiking, or outdoor walks to be done on Mercer Island. I have never been over there, and I am just curious.

I think they run a half marathon on Mercer Island. I wonder what route that takes? From Island Crest Way west across the bridge it is about 3 miles. Through the tunnels to Rainier Avenue another mile. And a few more blocks south to Baskin and Robbins. I have never done this route, but have observed that it can be done. There may be a bus from Rainier that will take you back to Mercer. up.gif

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Great bike ride around the island. I think it's 13 miles. Nice 'n wind-y, sometimes it's windy too.

No hikes on Poverty Rock, just yachts docks and gazebos. Vagrants and hikers are not allowed nono.gif Swim southwest to Seward park, or southeast to Gene Coulon beachto enjoy some of the same views, and more nature, without the snobs leering paranoid.gif at you as you go by . hink.gif C.J.
