Is anyone else turned off by tacky plastic-y beer banners outside an eating establishment. A cafe that otherwise looks presentable has a guady banner hung outside "Budweiser $2.50." Blech. hurl.gif To me the message is "the price of our beer is more important than it's taste, and more important than the food we serve.

ditto.gif I too, am turned off by this. Now, if they had a sign for a good microbrew for $2.50, it might be another story. I dislike Budweiser. ( then there's the old one about the guy who drinks that stuff being "sadder budieser" lol.gif I guess I'd rather go to a place that doesn't advertise its prices in the window or glory in (IMHO) substandard beer not worth drinking. It is good for killing slugs thought...... doh.gif

It does cheapen the image of an establishment to have a beer banner hanging out front. That is why it is so cool to steal them and hang them in your apartment.

Always knew that California was from a different world. So was Texas for that matter. Sometimes I think they still are, and that ain't necessarily bad, just different. Try to imagine what would have happened if the California Gold Rush had occurred in Iowa?

This the year!!
