Hey Phil, on that photo, I bet you tried to visually trace the route you did from Baldy toward The Needles a while back. That was some impressive mileage and terrrain covered on a dayhike.

Cold weather drains batteries faster. Try keeping them in your pocket, next to you skin. Keeping them warm seems to do the trick for me!

Yes I did, and thanks, makes my knees ache to see pics of the ridge. I'll admit that it may have been crossing a line in terms of safety but for all that it was one of my all-time favorites.... such a beautiful area !
