Silly Traveler and I got out for a short hike today. North Bend appeared to have missed the snow strom. At the start of the hike, the temperature was in the low 20's, burrrr. The trail was mostly snow free until the very end, where there was just a light dusting of snow. We only encountered a few people on the trail today.
Hike stats: 5 miles with 1300 feet elevation gain.

glad to see the JetBoil in action! I used mine up on little Si the last time I was up there, but some hikers' fool dog that was offleash came by and dumped it over 
Seeing that I'd only packed one liter of water to the top, and the fact that there's not alot of liquid on top, that was that. Hope your cooking was less eventful!

Geez, what time did you get up to the trailhead? I didn't see that kind of sun that day! Looks nice. We got to the parking lot on Little Si (did Big Si hike) around 11:40 or so, and we didn't have the views you did. Looks great.

And for some reason I thought I could get to North Bend in 30-40 minutes coming from Shoreline 
So all in all I made Joe wait an extra 30 minutes 
Snowshoeing is fun and all, but I still like a brown trail better 
We spent about 45 minutes up at the summit (if you could call it that) enjoying the sun 
Oh, I forgot to bring fork on this trip and had to eat the cup-o-noodles with fingers
