Glad (for myself at least) that I'm not the only one catching up on the trails, political clashes and photo ops in the wee hours of the morning!
Are the rest of you night owls, swing shifters, or like me (which is soo tired I somehow just can't get to sleep)?
I think maybe Mnt. Goat needs his full 24 hrs to research his amazingly detailed (and interesting) posts and I'm sure Tom is trying to catch up on editing the newly emerging emoticon pornography but what about the rest of you folks?

I wouldn't say I'm an insomniac, but it does take me an hour or so to falls asleep. Probably has something to do with my steady diet of chocolate around midnight.

Night owl, yeah, always have been. These days, I do most of my job hunting and email correspondences late at night, and I usually keep this site up. it's a great time to catch up on what I missed here throughout the day, in addition to what's on Discovery and TLC. See, like now, I'm watching this way exciting police pursuit where the suspect is fleeing in a Range Rover, the driver side front wheel flies off and he's still driving it, then the passenger side front wheel goes off, and before you know it, he's driving on rims and axles for 30 minutes before the car just breaks down. I mean, did he really think he could have outrun the cops? Ah, the joys of nighttime television...
Always take the scenic route.
Always take the scenic route.

Alcohol, or drugs of some other type!
Or, a really good book!

i'm a swing-shifter..
i do 4-10's, 2nd shift for a major seattle specialty sporting goods manufacturer. on my 3-day weekends i'm out-and-about, but during the 4-day week i'm here at home, hanging out.... it's 3am or so, but my brain thinks it's closer to 7pm..
i'm not authorized to do any pr for my company, but it's still fun to see comments about gear that i've had a part in helping to create, good or bad.

Two shots of gin about 1/2 hour before bedtime.
Excellent for putting one to sleep.
One alcoholic drink a day is now recommended for the body.

I don't have to be at work until 9:30, so I can sleep until 8 or 8:30, even on work days. I only need about 6 hours sleep, so 2 am bedtimes are the norm for me. P.S.- I knew your posts were at least primarily written by just one person due to stylistic continuity. Since some were signed "Josie", I figured it was you. (Real genius-y, huh?)

I've always been a night owl. It's getting better (or worse, depending on your persepctive) as I get older. During the week, I usually go to bed around 1am to get to work by 9am. That's pretty early for me historically. On the weekend, I've been known to stay up until 4am without even realizing it. This makes it very difficult to get up early for sunrise photos.
Personally, I like being a little different. I like the night. I like the cold. I like the rain.

I've always been a late-nighter. I like to come home from work and go for a run. Have dinner and hang out with the girlfreind and dog for awhile. I usually hit the sack around 10 and I can sit in read until midnight or one. It's getting kinda hard though because I'm try to get up and hit the gym to wake up a bit before the work day. But I have to agree with Stefan, I martini, low light and a good book send to dreamland well...
