To me, they are all cults.
You of faith, make the distinction. Discuss ad nauseum.

Whoa. Deja vu. I was just reading this EXACT same topic on an entirely different board. Maybe there is something to that collective unconscious theory...
Anyway, cults all, imo.

What is the diety that is worshiped at nwhikers.net? Does the diety have any human manifestations?

Marylou, Is there something that has made you more expressively antagonistic than usual? Kids; why?, Why do men think women are stupid? When is it a cult and when is it a religion?
What gives?

Me and a bunch of others got netted into it. That's why I want it to be nwhikers.org. I gave them all my possessions so they could get a fancy spellchecker. Now the spellchecker doesn't catch everythng and I can't get out to the cult because I don't even have a bus fare. They brainwashed me too. GET OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE ALREADY!!!!!!

Minebaggers and abandoned-trail-baggers - now there are a couple scary groups. Definitely cults!

If you have duct tape in your truck and use it before climbing/hiking (only the truth seekers know what I am talking about here) or put on bandaid pads in the right spots, then you are part of a cult. If you don't, then you part of the "they fit really good cult." <grin>
...and he could be heard saying as he made for the next move on the Sisters Range, "Grandma Take me Home."
