There was an interesting article in yesterday's Wenatchee World, Ice age floods in our own backyard. It centers on a discussion of the "other" ice age floods, the ones resulting from the collapse of the Okanogan lobe of the ice sheet, releasing the waters of Lake Columbia. It includes some discussion of the Missoula floods, particularly as the two sets of floods interacted over time, effecting each others records.
