I've been happy with mine, though they are not sturdy enuf to ski on, which is a bummer. I've had them for about 2 years now I think.

Hey BPJ! When you're in the US it's spelled f-i-b-e-r. CF is pretty strong stuff but it is not impact resistant so don't drop them on a hard surface or the plies will delaminate.

I would be wary because things tend to cut the fibers which are very strong in tension but weak in compression making them prone to failure from abrasion. I have not seen the poles but know this from other carbon thingies.

I've never had a problem with the poles breaking, or from abrasion issues. I have used them a LOT. If you have a problem with an MSR product, you can always get it taken care of, they are great that way.

ML, is there a way that YOU could talk to whomever at MSR and get a product history from their perspective? Like warrenty and repair information on the poles over the lifespan of MSR selling them? PLEASE. TB winksmile.gif

Well, I suppose I could, but I think it would be way better if you were to just get in touch with their CS department and ask the same questions. I'm really not going to have access to better information than you are. FYI those poles are made for MSR by Komperdell.
