Really I didn't know TNAB was going up here tonight. Any way this was a worthwhile trip especially with the heat down below.
Pond and Trail
This was a Mountaineers after hours hike. I had been up here before in 06 during the Washington Alpine Club Basic Climbing Class. It was interesting to see the camp area and glissade slope without all the snow. As one of the hikers last night said, this is one of the best bangs for the buck. Honestly, one of the highlights was driving home and seeing all the red in the sky. Red sky at night and all that... I'll have to add some snow shots of the same area.
Happy Hikers Lundin Hey, the WAC cabin is down there! Alpental Below Your Hero The breezes up here were great! One of the hottest days in the Puget Sound ever. Kendall Red Lundin and Gully Snoqualmie Mountain In the Basin Pond and Trail

Thanks Recon. I didn't know what the exposure was like, but it appears to be ok.

I guess your avatar name is a good fit, Recon!
There is exposure to tag the Middle and South (true) summits. From last year's TNAB:

It's not looking good this time. With the toe and the heel still not "healed" all the way, scrambling may not be a good idea.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I got the blister on Mt Adams. I had banged the toe on a rock in full stride on the way down, but the black and blue happened last night. I was installing an air conditioner, and the board I was using to level it fell off the window sill and landing on my toe just below the nail. It could have landed anywhere else, but no, it had to land on the most sensitive part of the toe. I couldn't have tried to drop it on my toe with any more accuracy or force.
The contraption on my heel was made by yours truly so that I could do the Blaine steps and run up the Roy St hill (E side) in my sandals.
Tomorrow I am doing the Blaine steps 10 times and the Howe St steps 10 times. That will give me about 4000 ft of vertical. I haven't worn a real shoe in 10 days now.
