Some friends are flying in from AZ and I'm thinking of having them bring in some smoked pork from my favorite butcher. They make the best brats on the planet and they also sell them smoked, along with all sorts of other smoked pork sausages and snack sticks! I'm wondering how long smoked pork sausage would last on the trail?

If you deep freeze the pork and can keep it well insulated deep down in your pack, I'd trust it for a couple of days. I trust salami and landjager for weeks, but they are both highly salted. The salt helps preserve the meat. I'm not sure how salted or spiced the sausage you're thinking about is.
