OK, technically not french toast (unless you want to batter with egg and grill) and probably not skinny but tastes pretty darn good, and relatively skinny vs. the fully leaded alternative. Feel free to substitute ingredients other than Franz Cinnamon Swirl bread (accept no alternatives)!
Nutritional Facts (per slice):
190 calories, 4g fat, 37g carbs, 12g sugar
Ingredients (per slice):
1 slice Franz Cinnamon Swirl bread (120 calories, 2g fat, 24g carbs, 8g sugar)
1/4 banana (30 calories, 0g fat, 8g carbs, 4g sugar)
2 tbsp Land O' Lakes Whipped Cream (20 calories, 2g fat, 0g carbs, 0g sugar)
1/8 cup Safeway Sugar Free Syrup w/ Splenda (20 calories, 0g fat, 5g carbs, 0g sugar)
Smidgen of rum (optional)
Directions:
Warm syrup (10 seconds in microwave)
Add smidgen of rum (optional)
Toast bread and add to plate
Pour warm syrup over toast
Add banana slices over syrup
Spray with whipped cream
Enjoy!

So, food is not "no spray", I take it?
PS: it sounds good, except for the "Spenda".

Thanks, I fixed the "Spenda" typo. I normally use sugar free syrup to cut fully leaded syrup (which is too rich for me) but the bananas, whipped cream, and Franz Cinnamon Swirl bread have the right amount of sweetness that you won't really notice the syrup is unleaded.

Here's another option for the syrup: agave.
I use pure maple syrup from Costco. It is only $12 a quart, and a quart lasts me several years. Yes, it's almost pure sugar, but the flavor is strong enough that I only use a small amount.
One thing I really like about your recipe: no frying pan to clean up afterward.

Yep, I use agave (can find it at costco too). Loaded with calories so neither are anything I'd put in a skinny recipe.

I'd try it but no way would I give up the real maple syrup Too good and life is too short to eat fake syrup On the other hand, that Franz bread is like crack!! It is too good tasting!

Amen Sister. The Costco syrup is good, but only Grade A. Grade B (from PCC) is organic, darker, and tastier. Also $$
Vermont Fancy, Grade A medium amber, Grade A dark amber, Grade B
