Looking to head out on an overnight or two night trip starting from either tomorrow or Sunday to Monday or Tuesday (8/20-23). Would love to do something low/moderate in elevation gain, and around 10-12 miles a day. I am a moderate paced hiker, all my own gear, novice (5-6 trips under my belt) and bonus I love cooking on the trail and have some amazing meal plans ready to go smile.gif I have a great sense of humor, lack overly zealous emotions about most things other then awesome backpack trips, easy going and am geared toward safety and make thoughtful decisions on the trail. Live in Lynnwood and can drive/or chip in for fuel. 31 female, non drinker, non smoker, non drugger wink.gif Would be awesome to meet up first for coffee, would prefer a female partner.

Single? Seems like every guy here is looking for male partners cause his wife won't let them hike with other women. Wonder if the wives realize exactly how foul smelling and disgusting one can end up being on the backend of a multi-day, not really the stuff of romance if you ask me lol.gif

MJ, wives are clueless. wink.gif Don't give up, there are lots of great folks here looking for partners. Might just have to start with a dayhike then progress to a backpack to see if you're compatible. Have fun!

Thanks Yet! Probably right, I take it for granted (Im a Therapist by trade) that I can listen to anyone for hours and am comfortable with long periods of silence biggrin.gif so usually compatibility boils down to ability. My goal is to have a solid group of reliable partners so regardless of the weekend, I can always find someone to go with.

I agree, a Dayhike is always a good start. Compatibility can definitely be an issue. Gnome and I went on a few day hikes prior to back packing and we had good chemistry, although initially we tended to "talk over each other". In any event, I feel that one can learn something from the experience, at the least.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

I prefer to hike with the 45+ married dudes. They don't hit on me, they have gas money, and their wives are glad to get them out of the house. up.gif AJ

lol.gif My wife's thoughts exactly. She figures if I find someone else, then she doesn't have to go with me and thus has the weekend free.

Drive up to Mowich lake and hike to Eunice lake from your car. Go up to the lookout if you want.

I wholeheartedly agree. Definitely start with a Dayhike. Dayhike's are the best.
