Anyone up for hiking or 'shoeing up Sun Top on Saturday? Anyone know how much snow there is? I think I could manage to leave Woodinville about 9 a.m., providing I'm home from work at a decent hour the night before.

was there yesterday. road has ruts up to a foot and a half deep. snow is more or less ice (or firm) everywhere. didn't see any evidence of grooming.
I don't think they do anything as far as grooming or plowing that road.... It is usually gated down at the sno-park and basically a road walk/snowshoe/ski or whatever up. I did this last February and the first 2 miles didn't really have any snow. I've also done it where I had to park at the highway (sno park closed for fallen trees) and showshoe the whole way. Years and times vary.
Sounds more like microspikes if anything.
In the right conditions that is a great no brainer snowshoe walk.
