OK, I have another facebook question, that I have already attempted to solve myself, without success. I "liked" a bunch of stuff, such as my favorite football teams, and some musical groups, TV shows, etc, and now my news feed is over-run with everything anyone posts to any of those sites. I don't see any way to turn them off, or change the settings for my news feed. Do I need to go back to everything I "liked" and un-like it, or can I somehow change my news feed settings to only show posts made by friends, or to groups I belong to?

If you hover your mouse over the upper right corner of an item on your feed/wall, you should see a down-arrow appear. Click that and it will open a menu of choices. Choose "unsubscribe", and that source (person, TV show, whatever) will now no longer show up on your feed/wall. You'll need to do this for everything you added.

Facebook likes to assume you want things spamming all over your page by default.

The weird part is that it was attempt by me to end spam. I asked facebook to remove an ad from the right side of the screen. When they asked why, I said "MYOB". Then they asked me "Oh yeah? Then what do you like?" I assumed this would be used to determine what ads I saw in the ad space. I thought they were saying "Hey, bub, you gotta see some ads, so choose your poison."
Next time I make a change at facebook, I'm going to ask about it first.

I don't often post here, and I'm not super active on FB either (fits & starts, anyway) but I'm more likely to post about hikes on FB than in here... and now that my kid is 9 and more active in sports & stuff, I'm not even hiking as much as I'd like but I figured I'd join anyway.
