Olympics. Close to the center, near Anderson Pass. this time of year you would likely go in from the E Fork of the Quinault River. Old Chalet built in the valley...close to a thousand waterfalls...elk in the meadows by the camps...BEARS all over the place. I'm thinking about going soon. Last year, found an elk killed by a cougar and two bear cubs killed by another bear.

Was really great when you could stay in the Chalet. The upper floor was off limits but you could fit people downstairs. Was great to sit on the porch when it was pouring and stay dry. Other people that got caught out headed in for a welcome break from the weather. Was a great time in the good ole days!
