Greetings, I am a 51 year old male physician, and have been in the area for about a year. I am looking for hiking partners, mostly for weekend trips, generally preferable to be within about a 100 mile radius, but possibly longer with sufficient planning and longer weekends. I am experienced and am very well-prepared gearwise, but am not in the best of shape--I am certainly working on that! I've done a lot of solo backpacking over the years, but as I get older, I feel less and less comfortable going it alone. I would like a hiking partner more familiar with the area, as well as what trails are most accessible at what times of year, than myself--the opportunities in the area are so numerous, I find deciding where to go an often overwhelming choice.
