Looking for some experienced climb/scramble partners for peaks in wintery-like conditions. Examples: Merchant, Hall, Jumbo... If we can score on one of these (or you suggest a similar alternative) in the next month or so, could there be a shot at Rainier, say, Fuhrer Finger or Tahoma Gl. in June? But let's stick to some easier but not necessarily "easy" terrain first, what do you say...?

Sounds good to me; count me in if you decide to do Merchant any time soon. up.gif

Although not too interested in climbing Rainier this year I would be interested in Merchant, Hall, or Jumbo.

Glad to hear of your interest. I have a work project going which will probably keep out of action the next couple weekends, though maybe not. Then I should have a few weekends open (unfortunately, only weekends). Let me know if you have any other ideas to try. I live in Seattle, have jeep will travel, but not too far afield... -Tom

Merchant is next on my hit list. I plan to recycle an old post in this forum when conditions look favorable (that is if somebody doesn't beat me to it). The sooner the better!

Hi, I am kind of bogged down right now at work. I won't have a free weekend for awhile (mid June). However, let's stay in touch. I'd certainly like to do something down the road. Do you have anything specific in mind? -Tom

I generally get out Tuesdays and or Wednesdays. Some peaks I'm looking to get in the near future are Big Snow, Baring, Maude, The Brothers, and Dragontail to name a few. I think I'm going to hit Earl Peak this Wednesday (give the real high country one more week to settle). If anyone is interested in any of that let me know!

Hi I am interested in some scrambling

Rather be in a Mountain Jungle than inside 4 walls of concrete jungle.
