This eagle caught a duck, mid flight, and the little duck feet were flapping as it was carried away. Taken along Hood Canal in Hoodsport, by the hatchery, this month. Very uncommon.

Didn't get the shot because I was driving at 55mph, but a Cooper's Hawk was eating small carrion right at the edge of the road shortly before the Hood's Canal bridge today. It didn't even fly off as I drove by. I've never seen that behavior before.
