Looks like there's a TV show coming up about the Iron Goat Trail:
Quote:
The story of how the trackbed of the Great Northern Railway at Stevens Pass was turned into a disabled-accessible hiking trail is related. (2005)

I must be nutz but I'm on a library waiting list for the next Dick Prenicke(spl) film DVD. lol.gif According to an interview I heard recently on PBS with one of the Man in the Wilderness producers, someone's working on the daily diaries he kept all those years up there (a ton) so hopefully at least a portion of those will be published someday. Dick shot a lot of 8 and 16mm film but apparently he wasn't a real ace with using the right filters for color-correcting them and they were stored for years in an attic, etc so they aren't in the best of shape. The producer didn't seem very hopeful much would be of good use anymore. I don't understand why modern video editing couldn't correct any color balance problems but maybe it's more involved than that. Basically the film stock is in pretty bad shape regardless.
