Microsoft announced this week they will respond to Google Maps with their own service, MSN Virtual Earth. What's cool about their proposed service is the availability of oblique aerial imagery (photography from a 45-degree angle). This allows you to see building faces rather than just their rooftops. 
You can even read the logo on the Concorde.
