Surprised no one has mentioned this article in today's Parade magazine about Lin being commissioned to do this ambitious and interesting project about both Lewis and Clark's expedition, the Native Americans they encountered - who along with the land were changed forever. Several historic sites along the Columbia and Snake Rivers from Cape Disappointment to the Nez Perce lands in SE Wash. will have Lin's artwork displayed involving the Whites, the Natives , the beautiful land and a future of peace, understanding and harmony. A spiritual leader of the Nez Perce put it succintly and amusingly (about Lewis and Clark) that "you put the whole history together and there's a lot of bad things happened since those two guys came over here."
