So where is the best pie served? I think I have established that Sherris is better than Mother Butlers (Dennys), but what about the non-chain pie? Any place make it fresh daily. Somtimes you look at that rotating glass display with the flourescent light shining on it, and you know that lemon merengue has been in there for at least a weak and it would probably might feel more at home at a place like this. Semper Pie!

Dutch Mother's restaurant in Lynden has hand's down the best carmel apple pie. Apple pie with real apple chunks and a good crust, topped with struesel, then additionally topped with soft gooey carmel. Just divine.

If life gives you melons - you might be dyslexic

Whether or not the pie's any good it's awfully famous at Twede's/Mar-T in North Bend. (And while I was confirming the name I ran across a strange site indeed: Beans Around the World.)
