another scare story... teflon-coated cookware doesn't kill, it's the chemicals used in it's manufacture that might be hazardous............. our media has a way of distorting the facts to increase their ratings as if that's anything new....

Thanks for the story Justan, people should be concerned about the health problems associated with teflon coating, especially if the pan is scratched, throw it away ! Buy better cookware, give the old ones to Marzsit.

The EPA will soon ban the sun, as it's a cancer risk as well. Anyone caught enjoying the sun, marketing or promoting the sun or it's derivative products, such as sunshine, or predicting the occurrence of sunny weather will be fined and/or imprisoned.

redface.gif Yeah and a few years ago they said the aluminum in anti-perspirant caused Alzheimers, and then last year they said "oops, we were wrong..." I know, lets have the government FORCE everyone to use well seasoned cast iron cookware, since teflon KILLS, and the fat in cooking oil KILLS... agree.gif

Ah hell if they ban it here we can eventually travel towards it on our solar-tanning spaceship, and we'll get real close by going at night! doh.gif

Its too bad that people try to discount scientific research designed to help people live heathier lifestyles, suggesting that these scientists make up health concerns while we all know any average joe in some town really knows better than a professional. I appreciate scientists asking legitimate questions about the influence of the biological effects upon our bodies, let's hope they don't stop.

That aluminum in your anti-perspirant could cause alzheimers, read it somewhere but don't remember where.

I'd forgotten that I'd forgotten that I'd read it until you reminded me.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.
