We were just there July 4th for the profusion of wildflowers. Pictures below show the awesome changes, in just 17 days, of the ice caves and snowfield. We made it an evening outting, leaving about 5:40pm, arrive by 6:50pm. We walked slowly in seeing some of the florals of before, and noting other differences.
As soon as we could see the caves and mountains, I could see nothing else though the wildflowers were out more in that open arena. Maybe a dozen people passed us leaving as we went in -- then none were left. We had this very popular place all to ourselves -- a stunning experience.
We ate light snack suppers again on "table rock" and lingered in the very special quiet beauty of mountains at dusk. As we reluctantly left, sunset was painting the tips of the peaks pink.

Don't ever go in the ice caves
When we were there on July 4 a large chunk of ice fell from the roof of the cave. Their are several signs telling you to stay out of the caves.
