Waipio to Waimanu Valleys via the Z trail is about 19 miles roundtrip. The trail climbs and descends steeply over a 1200' ridge to 9 state designated campsites. The steep verdant island scenery is spectacular. See website photos. Am planning for 2007. Any interest ? The major expenses would be transport and probably 2 nights lodging.
