Climbed Mount Formidable with base camp at the Spider-Formidable Col. My trip report also has information about conditions on the start of the Ptarmigan Traverse, for those interested. To sum that part up, it's patchy from Cache Col until the Middle Cascade Glacier but looks good thereafter (as far as visible). Glaciers are in stellar shape.

Thanks a lot Tazz. Glad you enjoyed the trip report. That is some of the most amazing country anywhere. The traverse to Cache Col isn't too bad, but it's definitely wise to have an ice axe since there are big cliffs below and not too much runout. With the warm temps currently, the snow is soft so footing is good. It's definitely worth the trip to Cache Col just to see Formidable (if you haven't already). Stunning. My picture is okay, the view is phenomenal. smile.gif

I added some new pics too from Julian Simon of Red Ledge, Middle Cascade Glacier and the arcing couloir on Formidable.
