Decided on the 3rd to go back to the classics. Leacing at 7:30 we arrived to find the parking lot only about 1/4 full. Took a quick picture of Eldoradojavascript:emoticon('

The switchbacks flew by with only a little snow at the top and a couple bowls to contained snow arriving at the pass we ran into 15 people so headed up to the arm. Along the way we got hit by a brief thunderstorm. We hunkered down and it passed. Soon every one who had been on the ridge came running down, leaving it all to us, at about the time the Doubtful Lake trail takes off. javascript:emoticon('

After an extended lunch we headded down for the long drive home passing the pass where we heard a ranger telling someone to not sit on the grass

Nice Pics of the area. The warm weather is sure melting things out fast. I say that because of the conditions when I was there two weeks ago. The views of Eldorado though inspired me to give it a try as soon as posisble.
