Wash it? It occasionally gets dusted when the dust buffaloes are getting too agressive. Watch it? I'm supposed to turn that thing on? Why?

I watch more TV than is humanly possible. Mostly because I don't watch any commercials. I have an incredibly high tolerance for bad programming. You can tell it's getting bad when I've worked my way through all the bad American shows and have moved on to trash TV from abroad (Canada's Next Top Model, Big Brother Australia, The Apprentice UK/Survivor UK, etc.). Moreover, I've already gotten DVD screeners for next season's shows...last night I watched two shows that should be airing in September/October timeframe. Yowza, that's a lot of TV.

Aside from the occasional M*A*S*H rerun, 99% of the TV i watch is from channels like History, Discovery, PBS, etc. I rarely watch it when it airs, but rather have my second computer set up as a DVR and record them as they air. Then later I'll cut the commercials, burn them to DVD, and add them to my video library. Usually this is for shows on ancient/medieval history, but also shows on National Parks and such. Rather than watch most of the junk that's shown on TV these days, I'll just pop in a DVD from my library and watch that. Always something good on that way!

Michael, you may watch a lot of television, but at least it's educational at that. wink.gif Mine's pure escapism. I get enough reality at work and via online news outlets.

I turn on the TV when the helicoptors won't go away - to find out WTF is going on - or the weather before a trip. Netflix Baby!

I'm not always sure I like being older but being less stupid has advantages. http://www.flickr.com/photos/32121172@N00/sets/

My TV makes half of a very nice set of bookends. The other bookend is a ceremonial carved stone mace head from Costa Rica. Both have a fair amount of dust on them right now. rolleyes.gif

I am a non reality TV show watcher and an avid News watcher. A TV is always on for background noise. Since some local NWH miscreants have corrupted me by showing me how to download shows, I watch most of my stuff on my laptop when it's convenient.
