Took a quick day hike up to Kane Lake in the Pioneer Mountains. It was overcast with drizzle and snow all day which was kind of nice because it reminded me of the Cascades.
It’s about a 4 mile hike with 1800 feet of elevation gain (lake is at about 9500 feet). The last ¾ mile took the longest as I was crossing boulder fields covered in 6 inches of snow – not the fastest way to travel.
Nothing too eventful and with the exception of the being at the lake, the camera never came out.
First shot is mine from yesterday, second shot pulled from the web for contrast.
