I was up on Heliotrope Ridge and the Coleman Glacier last weekend. There was still a lot of snow starting at about 4500'. The Skyline Divide ridgeline looked snow free from where I could see it. I was going to hike it today but I find myself packing for another trip instead.
A friend of mine was up there yesterday and said the trail was snowfree. He didn't go far, though, just to where you get onto the Divide from the forest. I didn't ask him if bugs were prevalent yet, but if they were, I would have heard about it.
