Anyone know where you can get gallon or larger containers of honey?

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Just do a search for bulk honey on google. Many places sell it, with shipping it can get expensive. I haven't found a local supplier yet.

I'm pretty sure the Ballard, Central, Greenwood Markets have it in bulk.

This old house is on West Valley Hwy in Sumner and sells honey for $9 a quart. I've driven by it a few times while working down there and always wanted to stop and buy honey. I never did. I'm not sure if they have gallon-size honey but the price looks good compared to what I pay for Phil's Apiary Honey at the Edmonds Summer Market. I like talking with Phil so the price is worth it.

Pcc sells it in bulk, you pick the container. I imagine an old milk jug would work, or perhaps a glass apple juice bottle.

Marlene's in Federal Way, Skagit Food Co-op, etc...any co-op would do it. There are also lots of small beehive keepers around. Farmers markets are one way to find them.

Wow, thanks for the replies! I will check into them. By the way, when I was little, my Aunt B (yep, B for Beatrice) was a honey fiend. She would put honey on everything, even on peas. Since we only had a honey bear, and that supply didn't get replenished immediately on being empty, we would always watch in horror when she was visiting as we ate dinner and she put the honey on everything.

Glory Bee is a reliable supplier in general (I don't get honey from them, I use them for some of my soaping oils). Glory bee also has awesome hard candies. I use the candies to get my order minimums up for cheap shipping. cool.gif Most of my honey comes from a beekeeper on Noon Rd near B'ham. The snowberry honey is my favorite. wub.gif

Bit of drift, but if you ever have the chance to try pumpkin blossom honey, it's awesome. When we lived in Reedsport Oregon there was a lady who sold it.

There's a beekeeper on SR20 near Milepost 100 just past Cascadian Farms but before Marblemount. Every time I drive past the hand-painted sign - HONEY AND STUFF - I am almost tempted to find out more. There's a little gazebo near the highway with mason jars filled with the HONEY. I guess you have to drive onto the private road and go inside to find out what the STUFF is all about. Probably gifts and such.

Seems like WinCo has it in bulk. Your container I believe.

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.
