I was thinking of going up Mailbox, but if the weather forecast doesn't improve, I'd be up for another destination within an hour or so of my house (Snohomish). I doubt my knees will want to do Mailbox more than once so it has to be a nice day for that one. I'd like to do something somewhat strenuous, but keep in mind that I'm not a super fast hiker + I usually take my little Sheltie. Her legs can no longer do something like Mailbox so I wouldn't take her on that one.

I would be up for something. Is Lake serene snow free? or maybe wallace lake. I never walked the road to the lake. I'm open for suggestions.

Furthur's TR from Lake Serene still shows lots of snow. I don't know about Wallace Lake. I go to both of those a lot since they're close. Was kind of thinking about Pilchuck as an alternate if it's not clear enough to warrant the pain of Mailbox and if I were going solo.

I might be making the long trek to Boulder Lake accessed via Spada Lake. If you're interested I can keep you updated if definitive plans develop.

Pain is just weakness leaving the body.
