If this weather holds I'm considering doing Stuart this Sun/Mon. I'd hike over longs pass and attempt to camp by the start of the cascadian. If you're interested let me know.

Check the fire situation. You may not be able to get into the Long's Pass Trail Head. See the Smoke in The Valley thread. The biggest of the fires is in the Stafford Creek drainage and that road (9703) is closed. From what I read, I gather that 9737 to Esmeralda is still open, but maybe that will change.
