Sorry I have not been on nwhikers with trip reports recently. I have not been hiking much but instead surfing a whole lot. The waves have been really good recently. But I did score this nice hike recently and I wanted to share it with you. Empress Mountain is the highest summit in the greater Victoria Area. The specs up are not very impressive (8 miles, 2000 feet of gain) but the view on top is impressive. The trail also passes by a stunning lake and a stunning couple of seasonal waterfalls.
