The weather sucks! It's raining again and blowing hard and the ski resort had to shut down because of lousy conditions. The ground is still frozen from last week so the water is just flooding the barns and garage. I can't quite shake this stupid cough. The dog is shedding all over the place. The snowshoeing sucks because of all the rain, the hiking sucks because of the snow still left. Go ahead and add your whine. Let it on out.

Tell me about it Jen-Jen! I've had the flu for three days -- its 60 degrees here and I can't even get out!!!!! I'm going stir-crazy. I even want to go work....

When you have the flu, does it help to have 100 cable channels? That's what I asked someone at work today who just got over it.

The label on the side of the Robitussin bottle says "pleasant tasting cherry syrup". Pleasant tasting on what planet? The stuff is just plain vile. It works, I'm not knocking that. But..... blech!

Yeah, but I was thinking today while surfing, 100 channels and not a damn thing worth watching. Did watch a good William Holden flick though. As for meds, try Theraflu -- yeeeeeeuck! Wretched stuff.

You know what's even worse than not being able to get out?? Being able to get out and no place you want to go. (Powell's Bookstore sounds like a good destination) As for surfing the channels, did anyone catch that thing on Channel 9 about Jack Johnson, the black heavyweight champ? Fascinating. But back to cabin fever .... the other thing that happens to me when the weather sucks and I can't go to the places I'd like to go is that I eat too damn much. And the wrong stuff. I end up BAKING for Pete's sake. Cookies and goodies and then I sit down and I eat the damn things. Then I feel dopey and sluggish and don't even want to walk across the street. I haven't had the flu in years but when I'd get it as a kid, I was a little drama queen, lying in bed, my mom and dad waiting on me hand and foot, the bed covered with comic books and magazines. gj, hopefully you've got someone waiting on you hand and foot! I have more spring fever than cabin fever. This weather is really making me ready for warmer, dryer weather! It's just torture knowing it's going to be several more months before this is the norm. I'm ready for it NOW!

I managed to get sick for the first time in a few years. After 2 1/2 weeks in the house I will get out hiking this weekend even if it rains all day both days!

[Sore Feet]

I haven't had a working camera since September - which was also the last time I was out. Got a major jonesin right now. Plus I've got the cold that everybody at work has, and I'm probably gestating a mutant radioactive version of the virus and we'll all get it a second time, but worse. However, I am buying a 300D on Friday, so I will have an excuse get out sometime within the next two weeks, DAG NABBIT!
