Today I had the pleasure of hiking the Lower Skokomish trail along the south fork of the Skokomish River in Mason County, WA with my sister and my dog. From the town of Mohrweis in the Skokomish Valley, the Forest Road was in good condition the entire way to the trailhead where we parked and began the hike. The trail itself is also in good condition except for a few large fallen trees blocking the path in places that might provide difficulty for the four-legged travelers. The weather held and stayed mostly cloudy with sun breaks requiring nothing more than long pants and the occasional application of a sweatshirt. We hiked to the 3.0 or 3.5 mile mark before we turned around and headed back. There were many people using the trail today, probably around 50, and I counted 14 cars at the trailhead when we left. I attached some pictures to look at and if anybody wants directions to the trail or more information on the conditions, let me know.

Pain is just weakness leaving the body.
