That's not actually funny. You could replace the picture of the bear with a human, have the same caption, and it would be MUCH MORE ACCURATE, AS WELL AS HAPPEN A LOT MORE OFTEN - BY ORDERS and ORDERS OF MAGINITUDE.

Barred Owls did a pretty good job on our moles.

I laughed. Terribly sorry, did not get the memo that it was not funny.

It seems to be runners and cyclists who attract cougar attacks, too.
I recall a most interesting story of a cyclist on north Vancouver Island, taken down by a cougar. He said he heard the clicking of the claws on the pavement, thinking it was some malfunction of his bicycle. Then this life-or-death struggle begins in the middle of the road. He hadn't seen a car all morning, but immediately a pickup truck appears around the corner. The cougar runs away, right? No, the driver starts beating it with an ax handle, and the cat crawls under the truck, allowing the humans to escape into the cab. Stephen Herror on black bear attacks "Bears Attacks, Their causes and Prevention" Stephen Herrero. This fascinating book discusses the extremely rare unprovoked black bear attacks; these animals do very rarely become predatory to humans.

I've heard that if a bear charges you, and you can hear it, it's a bluff charge. If it means to attack you, you won't hear it.

Some people have better things to do with their lives than walking the dog. Some don't.

Either way bluff or not, I'm going to shoot the bear in the face while the special snowflakes will curl up in a ball and pray to a non-existent god to save them

HAHAHA you still think "snowflake" is an insult. You must consider yourself pretty special.

Good thing I am a pretty good poker player, I should be able to tell whether or not a bear is "bluffing". wink.gif

Now that's kinda funny. suuure.gif

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Your statement here is a contradiction of itself and is a perfect example of someone who disregards history. Have a nice day. I'd be willing to bet anyone $5 that keki is a second account for someone already here who wants to troll anonymously.

Being so tough, why don't you just stick your fist and forearm in the bear's mouth so it can't close it, reach in with your other hand, grab its tail, and yank it inside out? Then you can dam the Mississippi to make a pool to wash up in- you and Babe, the Giant Blue Ox. Or are you the guy who carries 'Ol Betsy? I might have you confused with another hero.

Nature exists with a stark indifference to humans' situation.
