I recall a most interesting story of a cyclist on north Vancouver Island, taken down by a cougar. He said he heard the clicking of the claws on the pavement, thinking it was some malfunction of his bicycle. Then this life-or-death struggle begins in the middle of the road. Either way bluff or not, I'm going to shoot the bear in the face while the special snowflakes will curl up in a ball and pray to a non-existent god to save them

Being so tough, why don't you just stick your fist and forearm in the bear's mouth so it can't close it, reach in with your other hand, grab its tail, and yank it inside out?
